Lemongrass Essential Oil

Medicinal Use:
Lemongrass Essential Oil is used in aromatherapy as a nervine and calmative; to help relieve joint and muscle pain associated with a sprain, strain, and rheumatoid arthritis; to help relieve headache, and as a carminative and antispasmodic for symptomatic relief of digestive discomfort.

Non-medicinal Use:
Add to your blends for aid in dandruff treatment.  Decreases irritability and drowsiness, and inability to concentrate. Refreshing and stimulating.

Basil, Bergamot, Clary Sage, Coriander, Cypress, Fennel, Lemon, Rose Geranium, Rosemary, Tea Tree

What is a Steam Distilled Essential Oil?
The plant material, in this case, the grass/herb, is placed into a still; steam is then passed through, which causes the oil to vaporize, the mixture of steam and essential oil then passes through a series of cooling tubes in order to condense the mixture back to a liquid form.

This distillate is then traditionally collected in a Florentine flask which further separates the essential oil from the water-based hydrosol. Traditionally, the majority of essential oils are steam distilled.
